The Gemmell Student Complex, built in the 1960’s, has been transformed into a vibrant and contemporary center of student life. WTW Architects worked closely with the University to develop a comprehensive plan to thoroughly update the building on a very limited budget.
The food court was rejuvenated with the addition of private booths, community tables, flooring and lighting.
The central rotunda space, with its grand stair, fireplace, and abundant natural light, was transformed into the active and dynamic heart of the student center. New finishes and lighting in the rotunda and connecting corridors reflect the spirit and school colors of Clarion University.
A new, open student organizations work room, lounge, and meeting room provide flexible space for students to collaborate and work.
