Integrated lounges for quiet study, group activities, and recreation encourage interaction to build a vital community. Finding a balance between privacy and isolation and interaction and engagement is a constant study in every project. We have found that higher quality, more desirable public spaces tend to draw students out of their silos to increase interaction. Involving students is a crucial part of our design process. Their valuable input and opinions enables us to improve their experiences and needs.
