Following the highly successful completion of the new Hemlock and Hawthorn Suites totaling 966 beds, WTW was re-engaged to implement additional new housing. This new residence hall is targeted for upper-class students, with the majority of these new 478 beds being singles in response to market demand.
Flexible multi-purpose rooms for groups from 50 to 150 with adjacent kitchen, meeting, dining, and recreation rooms are located on the Ground Floor. Social, study, and laundry areas are included on all upper floors.
The brick and stone-clad building features vertical windows and sloped roofs in keeping with the campus architecture. Walkways with a new courtyard/plaza are provided that integrate this residential facility with the campus core. A geothermal system is included for reduced operational costs and the building received a LEED Silver Certification.
