Port Sky Café, Penn State Altoona

Returning the Port Sky Café to renewed prominence and the center of campus student activity, the renovated facility is energized by a curving main street that provides passing students the opportunity to view the activities of the reimaged servery, and expanded student dining rooms. 

The servery is imaged as a market place square, offering a variety of choices with display cooking.  The new addition embraces the existing building on three sides creating a new glass and masonry façade adjacent to the athletic fields and is punctuated on each end with new identifiable glass and stone entrances.  Evening activities, dining, special events, and students gathering with friends are highlighted with the large windows showcasing the interior spaces, and acting as a lantern inviting the campus to enter.
