Helm on the Allegheny

Bringing the Co-Living concept to the Pittsburgh apartment scene is a gamble and challenge for any developer. Steel City Capital Partners, therefore, selected WTW Architects with confidence when they decided to bring over 200 units to a constricted site in Pittsburgh's Strip District.

Given its location perpendicular to the Allegheny River, the building is designed much like an oceanfront property. The majority of the units are arranged in an angled configuration facing toward the river views. This hotspot for residents in Pittsburgh's Strip District features a Co-Living system that offers residents the regular experience of a private apartment plus high-end amenities that creates community amongst residents.

On the first floor, there is a lobby and office space, as well as a retail area and a multi-level parking structure. The building's amenities include a pet wash station, indoor bike storage, fitness center, and club room. The fitness center provides direct access to the city's riverfront trail system. The building features a rooftop Club Room and terrace with stunning river views.
