WTW conducted comprehensive campus-wide usage studies, leading UVM to commission their expertise for the design of a 200,000-square-foot union. Positioned at the heart of the campus, this center serves as both a social and academic hub, unifying formerly separated precincts.
The facility boasts an array of amenities, including various dining options, a pub/bistro, performance spaces, lounges, conference and meeting rooms, offices for student organizations, an expanded bookstore, a computer lab, a radio station, student services, a recreation/game room, administrative offices, and a ballroom.
Distinguished as the inaugural LEED™ Gold certified student union in the nation, the Davis Center stands as a testament to sustainable design principles.
WTW collaborated with local partner Truex/Cullins to bring this project to fruition.
