A WTW preliminary feasibility study concluded that UCONN’s campus badly needed a “College Towne” center. The 50 year old student union underwent extensive renovations and a major addition to create the envisioned student centered “College Towne.”

The modernized center contains retail space; food service and dining areas; 500-seat auditorium; 900-seat multi-purpose ballroom; control booth and studios for popular radio station WHUS; production facilities for television station UCTV; African American Cultural Suite; and a variety of office, meeting, and conference areas.
