Student Activity Center, University of Miami

The purpose, design, and location of this exciting new building was to provide a facility to meet the needs of today’s students and the entire University community, while providing a signature building on campus. WTW and Miami-based Arquitectonica were commissioned for the design of the new 75,000-square-foot Student Activity Center.

The striking facility includes meeting rooms, a ballroom, programming space, a student organization center, a student media center, student services center, and lounges and social spaces. In addition, the building includes a new Rathskeller and landscaped patio area facing Lake Osceola.

Affirming the University’s commitment to sustainability, this project is registered with the United States Green Building Council and achieved a LEED Silver rating.
