This complex infill project provided six new state-of-the-art operating rooms, completely renovated ten existing operating rooms, and updated ancillary services improvements creating a completely modern surgical suite.
Carefully planned phased construction allowed maintenance of an aggressive surgery schedule during all stages of construction. Internal circulation of patients and supplies was designed to maintain operational efficiencies, infection control, temporary egress, and mechanical systems support.
The newly created staff entrance maintained operating suite autonomy and provided for a future enclosed bridge to the adjacent parking garage. Integration of an existing loading dock into the addition of maximized functionality and
access while minimizing visual impact.
