From the Archives - The Carnegie Restoration

Years of pollution had covered the Carnegie Library buildings in black soot and grime. In 2001, WTW was enlisted in the remarkable transformation that restored the buildings to their original light color.

The $24-million restoration and renovation of the Museum of Art, Museum of Natural History, Carnegie Music Hall, and Carnegie Library included upgrades of the mechanical and electrical systems to contemporary museum climate-control standards and a new parking structure.
